New IceCap Gyre pumps bring powerful, signature Gyre crossflow
along with great new features like WiFi controll at a
value-oriented price point. Using officially licensed
technology from Maxspect, the IceCap Gyre pumps generate a
"sheet" of water across your tank, virtually eliminating
any dead spots with improved overall water circulation.
Compared to other traditional propeller style powerheads, the
Gyre produces an even, linear flow that can reach across longer
tanks without creating direct hot spots of flow.
Wavemakers excel in making waves. While waves are spectacular
to watch in motion, they are moving the majority of the water
vertically up and down, with relatively low horizontal
movement, especially near the bottom of the aquarium. On
the other hand, gyre generating pumps excel in moving the sheer
flow of water from one side of the aquarium to the other. The
flow of water is so strong that it will bounce back from the
opposite side to achieve full circulation within an aquarium,
i.e., generating "gyre flow."

Dual Gyre Pump WiFi Controller
The Gyre controller offers control of up to two powerheads with
one controller and power supply, and is backwards compatible
with the 1K and 3K generation of IceCap pumps. With the built
in WiFi, you can do away with all of the buttons and dials to
fiddle with and access your pumps through the free mobile app
for Android or iOS (Apple) devices. CoralVue’s HYDROS
platform powers the Dual Gyre Pump WiFi Controller, so you’ll
have access to multiple flow patterns that are programmable by
time, along with handy modes you can trigger like Feed Mode,
Night Mode, or Water Change Mode.The controller also has a
0-10V input, making it compatible with popular aquarium
controllers like the Neptune Systems Apex.
